Dreadlock Removal
Ready for a new look?
DREADLOCK REMOVAL
Starting at $100/HOUR
Most dreadlocks can be removed when you are ready to end your journey! If the dreadlocks are over a few years old, you will more than likely need a few inches cut off at the bottom of the dreadlock before removal.
Estimates are not given for this service, you must book an hourly block and I will remove as much as I can in that time frame. 2-4 hour appointments are recommended. Full heads of extension removal can take over 20-30 hours, so please attempt to remove at least half way up the dreadlock if you want to save time during your appointment with me. I will happily show you how I do it during your removal appointment.
The best way to remove dreadlocks is when they are DRY, use a metal tooth comb or crochet hook to pick out the dead hair until it is brush-able. It takes a few months before your natural hair thickness comes back. You will need a hair cut and deep conditioning treatment after removal.
If you would rather have them removed by getting them cut into a new hair style I am more than happy to do that for you. Please keep in mind you must be open to short hair and layers as once the dreadlocks are cut, the lengths vary. Growing out your roots as long as possible helps preserve length when removing. Please see examples below.
